Pole to Pole is a Leadership Institute. By enhancing and the passion and energy of youth with the tools of leadership is a vital step towards a positive impact on our planet. That is why empowering youth with these skills, is the core mission. Pole to Pole's selection process, gathers youth from across the globe with incredible passion and determination for their communities and the world at large. Through a series of experiences, training and mentorship, Pole to Pole develops raw talent into inspirational leadership. The Pole to Pole teams will spread knowledge and leadership tools to schools and communities, inspiring others to take small steps towards positive change and ultimately leaders in their own right.
GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP
Bringing a notion of care for the world as a whole, into our local community, is a concept that Pole to Pole will foster. By offering people education about the benefits of international community and acceptance, Pole to Pole will offer ways to be active global citizens at a local level. Despite the immense challenges that each of us face today in our communities today, it is a very exciting time to be alive!
CRITICAL ISSUES AND CLIMATE CHANGE
Global climate change is one of the few issues that transcends political boundaries and will have a dramatic effect across the world, environmentally, socially and economically. As the first generation in human history to have awareness and the ability to confront climate change, there is urgency for youth to take on this issue, today. The Expedition Teams will travel and experience first hand the effects of climate changes' devastating path. Highlighting the impacts of climate change by communicating their eye witness accounts to the Advanced, Education and Virtual Teams, so that they can learn and confront the issue, as well as offer education to others, so that they too, can act now.
