I bring to Pole to Pole an individual who wants to make this project truly come to life and be all that it can. It encompasses all of the values that I require: people, travel, service, adventure and the environment all rolled up in one holistic project that challenges me to step outside of my comfort zone on a daily basis. Once you have expanded, it’s very hard if not impossible to fit back into the old shape.
I bring someone who is down-to-earth, who has a lot of experience working with people in an international setting. I grew up for a time within an international peace community and that had a profound effect on the way I think today. In terms of my hard skills, I see myself as a generalist. I am not an expert sailor, skier, kayaker, climber, kite surfer or cyclist, however I have taught many of them through my time as an outdoor educator and instructor.
More than anything, I bring someone who has the desire to learn, to experience the world for what is it and has to offer, who remains true to my values, morals and integrity, who listens and has a healthy and energetic outlook on life.
